Description

The September 2000 issue is a feature packed issue with more pages than ever before with the BriSCA F2 World Final previewed by Chris Jones in detail.
John Hyam has provided another superb Midget feature on someone nicknamed “The Mighty Midget” or Dave Hughes, who raced a Skirrow Midget through the late 1940’s and 1950’s and had dreams of making Midgets one of the motorsports in the UK. The feature has some very rare photographs accompanying it.

Alwalton Raceway has been run as a club for many years, and the Bonsall family are featured, having been involved with it since the very start.

Dee Hallett looks at some classic American Stock Cars being put through their paces at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Class of 1984 – where are they now – a feature on drivers racing back in 1984 and what they are doing these days. Highlights from the Uk Speed weekend at Skegness and the European championships, plus SEGTO’s reound 3 and 4, and even the British Autograss Series Round 3

Paul Huggett and John Hyam provide the columns, with Paul talking about the Stock Rod and Super Rod World, plus the 200th issue of Short Circuit coming soon, whilst John Hyam pays a visit to Walthamstow – a superb venue but one that does not appear interested in oval racing of the car variety!

Paul Huggett talks to Lee Pepper after his 2.0 litre Hot Rod World Final win, and we visit Dover Raceway – a track that reminds us of how racing used to be – a down to earth approach to Short Circuit racing.
