Description

The March 2001 issue is another feature packed issue, with a special emphasis on racing from around the World, with a feature on oval racing in New Zealand including a report on the World 240ci Stock Car Championship, and the Hot Rod tour of South Africa.

One thing that has overshadowed the whole of the motorsport world, not just Stock Car racing was the death of Dale Earnhardt on the last lap of the Daytona 500. In a hastily re-arranged issue, we will remember the great man with lots of pictures, plus all about a visit to the Dale Earnhardt Inc. Showroom in Mooresville, North Carolina, where many fans will come to pay their respects.

Frank Chiswell and Walter Mackereth were two British Midget car racers who the Americans were scared to race against. We have the full story from around 1948. Ever seen car racing indoors on specially constructed tracks from floorboards – we have the story and pictures from the 1930’s

More news, features and lots of pictures from the 2001 Autosport International and Brentwood shows.

Big meeting reports include the annual Wimbledon Winternationals, plus a F1 Stock Car season review.

This issue also includes columns from Paul Huggett, John Hyam and Pete Tucker returns with his great columns about the early days of F1 Stock Cars – this time about the start of BriSCA F2’s or Junior 10’s as they were known. Regular items include Monthly fixtures, race cars for sale, Scenes from the Past, National Hot Rod Race Action update etc…
