Description

In the November issue of Short Circuit Paul Huggett looks at the history of PRI’s Hot Rods, and looks at the two classes of Rods today, talking to both champions, Dave Hitchen in the 2 litre version, (who used to race Hot Rods many seasons ago, went to race on the grass, and has now returned) and Gary Christie in the Group A’s. Also Pete Christie shares with us some of his pictures for the Pages from the Past. Also in the Scenes from the Past are pictures of the Economy Cars, plus Paul and Peter Grimers shale Minis!

Hopefully this issue will earmark a new section of Race Tech for future issues, where we get a bunch of new writers to tell some of the basics of building, setting up, and driving races cars on the 1/4 mile ovals. This issue Jamie Gibson tells the basics of weight distribution, corner weights, what to aim for, and crossweight.

Meeting reports include the big ones from the National Championship Weekend at Hednesford, the BriSCA F1 and F2 World Finals at Coventry and Swindon respectfully, plus a host of other championships and local events.

With columns from our regulars, Paul Huggett, John Hyam and Pete Tucker, plus more oval racers, and many race cars for sale it’s a much bigger issue than usual for this time of season.
