Description

With the championship season in full swing the September issue sees Paul Huggett talks to two younger competitors who could win World titles, – Lee Pepper in the 2 litre Hot Rods and Matt Baldwin in the 1300cc Stock Cars. Also Paul was at the Autograss Nationals, and report on the event, whilst Neil Clayton looks at it via his monthly column.

We were at the Festival of Speed at Goodwood. Not strictly an oval racing event, there were however, some superb machines from the past at events such as Indianapolis and some American Stock Car vintage let loose.

We report on the European Championship weekend at Northampton, and the UK Weekend XVI at Swaffham, plus John Hyam gets all Midget nostalgic with some more history on British Midget racing from the 1930’s.

Midget fans, especially those who enjoy looking right back, will be delighted with the 1938 Midget scene at Wembley in 1938 written by John Hyam, who also provides his usual column that we now receive many letters about.

Also our technical dept, written by Jamie Gibson looks at wheel and steering geometry, with tracking, camber, axle alignment and caster all covered in detail.
