2005 Ipswich Spedeweekend
This year’s two day extravaganza of Oval Racing at the Foxhall International Raceway was bigger than ever with 43 races and an incredible 446 cars! There was some superb racing and amazing action throughout the weekend and even the weather played ball this year as it stayed dry and was pleasantly warm, but not too hot, with the odd sunny spell but it was mostly cloudy so just about perfect watching and racing conditions. It was even dry on Friday for all those campers arriving at the Suffolk Showground with tents and caravans with only a couple of brief showers very late at night so the barbecues were in full swing. Those staying over until Monday woke to torrential rain so getting the whole weekend’s racing in the dry was a real stroke of luck. Report Daniel Rushton.

Something Old – Something New – in F2
Jerry Fisher was at Mendips Raceway for the BriSCA Nationals. He reports back on two Stock Cars that were out for the first time – Graham Bunter’s restored 1968 car, that was ready for competitive use in the BriSCA Heritage series, and by contrast, his son Alan’s very modem and radical car, for racing in today’s mainstream Formula Two division.

Life From the Gravel Trap:
