Description

The April 2001 issue of Short Circuit Magazine features the top ten list of Championship winners for many of the formulae racing on the ovals. Now it’s time to see how another year’s racing and the discovery of some previously unrecorded events in newly acquired old programmes and even one or two corrections, have affected the tables.

P.R.I. Mini Rods – the History of P.R.I s little fun formula which ran from 1970 till 1983 is documented, with pictures from the 1975 season. This formula was cheap and something that seems missing occasionally from today – it was fun.

Brian Holmes has been around for years, and raced all kinds of cars, including the Mini Rods. We catch up with him.

It was 18 months in the making, but Michael Collins’ good looking Ford Fiesta Group A Hot Rod shows just what can be achieved on a low budget and in your own workshop.

The BriSCA F1 Stock Car 2000 season review has been held over several issues and will appear in this one to coincide with the late start for the top contact open wheel formula.

The Daytona 500 is reported on, along with the latest news from around the world, plus a feature from Paul Huggett when he went to Canada and visited Ohsweken Speedway, and how a native Canadian racer built his own ‘Field of Dreams’ right in his own backyard. Build it – and they will come. He did, and they do. Part one deals with the background of the trip, the track, promotion and formulas, whilst part two deals more with Paul’s race which her won. Part two will be next month (in the May issue).
