Night Out at Coventry
Read through Keith Barber and Malc Aylott’s excellent definitive history of the UK’s top open wheel formula “BriSCA – Formula One”, and you’ll find numerous references to the track many still consider as the best in the country. Pictorial special with some unusual pictures from the opening Coventry meeting.

Dick Sharp Scenes from the Past Special
Went there, did that, got the T-shirt covered in oil and track dust, and then packed it in. Then what? Waited 15 years, got the urge again, got a car, went racing, won races – you could say he’s: Still Sharp. Scenes from the Past Special along with an interview with Dick Sharp as to why he has now come back racing.

A Forrest on Fire
Bryan Forrest was brought up with stock car racing playing a big part in his life. His father, Jimmy who used to race hot rods was also an ex-saloon British Champion whilst his Uncle Davie was also well known as a saloon racer.

Tell us About it
You might not find a happier crew in the pit area of any racetrack in the country than the Superstox racers and teams, at least thus far into the year. Yes, it’s true – a whole division of shiny, happy, people. Well, OK, not holding hands, exactly, but certainly getting along, chatting and having a laugh, racing in a highly competitive, yet sportsmanlike, fashion, and turning up in good enough numbers at each and every meeting from March through April. Enough to make Spedeworth fans believe that the Supers days of being “Top Formula” may have indeed returned.

Graduates from the Alwalton Juniors
Alwalton Raceway has produced many talented drivers over the years, who after racing in the Alwalton Junior class (non contact Minis), have either stayed at Alwalton, or moved to other formulas and promotions. Alan Wilkinson looks at many of those who have ‘graduated’
