Oval Racing’s Best ‘Reed’
It was Good Friday 2008 when a bright orange 2 litre Hot Rod Corsa was offloaded into the windy pit area on the old runway at Bovingdon Raceway and made older fans look twice, carrying as it did the 306 racing number of one of oval racing’s legends, George Polley. It’s very youthful driver turned out to have no connection with ‘The Driver’, other than living not too far away in mid East Anglia, and was unknown to most hardcore oval devotees, including this one! A few weeks later he took his first win, then two weeks later had a heat and Final double at one of the toughest tracks for non-contact cars, Yarmouth Stadium.

A Couple of Love Bites and a Real Good Cuppa!
When welder fabricator and former successful Grand Prix Midget racer Dave Smith became one of Superstox latest recruits he expected a bit of a learning curve but had hoped to get more than a couple of love bites and a real good cuppa for his troubles.
