National Hot Rod World Championship
The big question that everyone was asking before the Kent Cams/Hoosier Tyres National Hot Rod World Championship at Ipswich on July 3rd/4th was – could Carl Boardley make it a an historic fifth straight victory? Many were also wondering if there was anyone out there that could stop him and when his all conquering Vauxhall Tigra looked very fast indeed during practice early on Saturday morning – he was able to drop back from and catch one of his main rivals Gary Woolsey several times seemingly with ease, it all pointed to the fact that everything was looking good for Carl.
IPSWICH Other Races 2010
A packed Foxhall Raceway enjoyed a superb two days of racing in glorious weather with temperatures hitting 30C on Saturday with hazy cloud in the afternoon and even that melted away and there was not a cloud in the sky for the rest of the weekend, Sunday saw it almost as hot but with a nice cooling breeze although that didn’t stop a lot of people getting rather sun burnt! We had 36 races and all were run this year and 417 cars in the pits.
