Watching the Grass Grow
Having spent almost forty years, on and off, observing the ways and machines of the Autograss fraternity, as well as oval racing generally, Paul Huggett visits one of the big Championship meetings that dot the grassing calendar, and reflects on how the sport has come on over the years.

F2 World Championship Weekend
This year’s BriSCA Formula Two World Championship was run over three days at Skegness on 17th, 18th and 19th September, with a grand total of 122 cars taking to the track over the course of the weekend.

A Ramble Through the Quiet Countryside
Nestling amongst the leafy Hampshire countryside, lays a compact dirt oval racetrack, belonging to the Tongham Motor Club, and this was to be my first ever visit, along with the UK Sprint Cars.

Brazil’s Smallest Track
The amount of permanent race circuits in Brazil is small and most of them are concentrated in the south of the country, near the cities of Brasilia, Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro. These circuits are not the like the oval tracks in the U.K. Unlike our ovals, the tracks in Brazil, called Autrodromos, are all different configurations, although some are still small enough to enable the spectator to view the entire circuit.
There are oval tracks in neighbouring South American countries like Argentina, but according to our ‘bible’, the official Trackchasers website, there isn’t one single ‘oval’ track in Brazil.
