Everyone was wondering when Paul Poulter’s winning run at Rockingham would end and it was one of the favourites for the overall title, Gavin Seager, who became the first man to beat the big man from Little Bookham on the oval since September last year.
Sworder Wins F2 World Final
The BriSCA Formula Two World Final was held at Arena Essex on 2nd September, with 85 cars in action. Pre-meeting time trials were held for the eight overseas qualifiers to determine their grid positions, with Northern Ireland’s Ian Thompson Jnr setting the fastest time, and the only driver to set a sub-16 second lap.
Wilks Wins British Back
The 2 litre Hot Rod British Champion-ship was held as part of a very rare all non-contact meeting at Wimbledon on September 9th which drew in a pretty good crowd on a warm and sunny Sunday evening and produced some fine racing.
