The annual Oval Invasion of the Mallory Mile took place on May 11th for the British Long Track Championships, an event which traditionally produces cracking weather and brilliant racing and it really excelled itself in both departments this year.

Though its progress has been sluggish alongside the massive growth in Historic Saloon Stock cars racing under Spedeworth jurisdiction, recent increases in to-ing and fro-ing between THORA Historic F2 and their BriSCA Heritage counterparts have improved matters somewhat for those of us who love the sight and sound of really old cars, or at least parts of them, that have been revamped into racers for a last shot of glory as opposed to their more sedentary cousins that appear in classic car shows and rallies up and down the UK.
